HOTlanta

I love Atlanta. I'm here for a reading conference for work. I've been here for three days and its great. Really great. There are free shuttles everywhere! The weather is beautiful and I am staying in the most amazing hotel. I get a free bottle of water every day. I asked for extra shampoo and I got 3 extra shampoos. That's service. Also, I forgot my toothbrush (ooops) and they gave me two! I have a king sized bed in my room. I slept sideways the first night just because I could.

Let me just say this. Teachers are crazy. I mean totally crazy. There are 17,000 (yes, 17, 000) people at this conference. All crazy. That's a whole lot of crazy. Good thing the conference is being held in the Georgia World Congress Center, the largest building I have ever seen. Seriously. It is, I would estimate, the width of Manhattan. The first day of the conference I showed up at the entrance right on time, or so I thought. Little did I know that "Building C" was actually a 15 minute trek through grey and maroon halls. What an ugly building. Yet, I have to give it props for being the largest indoor space I have ever been in. Respect.

So I don't know if this is actually interesting or not. I'm new to the whole "blogging" thing. I feel like its premised on the assumption that people want to hear your inner monologue. In most cases its an "inner monologue" for a reason. Oh well. I never did have a very effective filter for my mouth. Here's just one more medium in which I can be outrageously inappropriate.

Hope all is well in the NYC.
